Position Title:  Sales & Marketing & Social Media Intern

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

Along with the Grass Shack Events & Media Sales & Marketing team, applicant will be responsible for proposing and implementing marketing

strategies that  promote revenue growth generation among key targeted segments and support the Grass Shack Events & Media

brand positioning and image.   Responsibilities may include but not limited to: leveraging and executing social media, website and blog/podcast strategies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

20%  Assist in implementation of meeting/video production, development of marketing strategies which include creation of creative marcom to targeted markets to promote sales, manage website and social media practices, measures and reports impact of marketing strategies and website traffic, and Researches and implements new social media strategies.

20 % Monitors marketing trends, tools and applications specific to corporate meeting and video production industry and target market(s).

20 % Learning business recording, podcasting and distribution systems.  Attend Events and video shoots/edits.

20 % Create contact list of names, emails, contact information, images etc., for targeted newsletters.  Follow up with analytics and strategy to contact leads.

10 % Work with Co-Founder to ensure revenue management potential is maximized on key marketing strategies, including approved 3rd party websites.

10 % Monitoring local convention bureaus, Hawaii State government job board, and other designated websites for potential business opportunities.  Contact via direct, email, phone for potential business via rfps or rfqs.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform supportive

functions to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

- Proficient Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, WordPress, Internet Explorer- Firefox, Photoshop

- Strong math and analytical skills

- Social Media skills

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION

High school diploma required

Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

Iraq or Afghanistan veterans are encouraged to apply

EXPERIENCE

Sales and marketing experience preferred but a great attitude is essential.

GROOMING/UNIFORMS

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.  Specific uniform guidelines and/or

required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.

NOTICE:

Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including  20 lbs. may be required.  The corporate production business

functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day.  In addition, this is a high energy business and a hospitable

service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
